Congrats to Kris Smith, aka KS!

Kris has been CrossFitting with us since Sept of 2009. Over the last couple of months she has seen some great progress in her CrossFitting, her body composition and her overall health (its funny how those all work together).

There hits a point with each and every person that does CrossFit for a while and they finally hit their “stride” and everything starts happening and improving at a rapid rate. Well this is exactly where Kris is at and nothing can stop her.

Kris we appreciate you and all you do for the CFSF community.

  8. Thanks everyone for your help and encouragement!

    Brought my CrossFit Success Journal home tonight. Since Sept 28th (with a 6 week break for gallbladder surgery), I have completed 113 WODs and burned approx 44,712 calories. The heart rate monitor I wear for health reasons also tracks calories. FYI: For someone my size, you will burn between 250 and 600 calories per WOD. However, slowly realizing that calories are not everything. I have never felt better in my life. Now taking steps to improve my eating habits (no pop, bread, chips..)

    Other memories:
    -The first time I met Chris at the old box we were attacked by flies.
    -The first time I saw Annie she was doing walking lunges in the parking lot with a huge weight over her head and I thought ‘What is she doing???’
    -Doing a WOD two times in a row because I complained to Chris that I didn’t burn enough calories the first time.
    -Thew up after the initial baseline workout
    -“Eva” burns a TON of calories.
    -Wanting to quit in February, but now addicted and loving it!
